Embedded Software Developer (m/f/d)

We are looking for…

Do you have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar field—and a passion for vehicles? Then ideally, you will have in-depth knowledge of Embedded C, preferably based on ARM Cortex-M.
Are you familiar with low-level drivers, interrupt control, and real-time requirements, whether under RTOS or in a bare-metal environment?
Are functional safety and tools such as Polarion not just buzzwords for you, but part of your daily work?
Are you familiar with terms such as ASIL-B/D, safety patterns, watchdogs, and redundancy mechanisms – and do you know what they mean in the context of safety-critical systems?
Do you have experience with CAN-FD, XCP, MISRA C, or do you use debugging tools such as Lauterbach effectively?
Then you would be a great fit for our technical environment – especially if you are also enthusiastic about hydraulic systems and development for heavy vehicles. Do you work in a structured, analytical, and team-oriented manner, document conscientiously, and maintain a solution-oriented attitude even under pressure?
Are innovation, pragmatism, and entrepreneurial spirit not contradictions for you, but rather your daily motivation?
Then we should get to know each other. With us, you will shape the technology of tomorrow – safe, robust, and with real impact.

Your tasks

  • Development of embedded software in C for microcontroller-based control units.
  • Implementation of functions for controlling actuators, sensors, and interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, I/O).
  • Implementation of safety-related software in accordance with ISO 26262 (ASIL-D).
  • Collaboration on system integration, debugging, unit testing, and release preparation.
  • Code generation from Simulink models and collaboration with control and safety teams.

What We Offer

Join our team of world-class developers and talented newcomers to actively shape the future of mobility — today. Our fail-safe electronic steering and braking system with active force feedback, already successfully deployed in road-approved vehicles for people with disabilities, eliminates the need for a steering column — representing the most significant revolution in 136 years of automotive history. Our globally unique technology enables a complete digital redesign of vehicle interiors and concepts, allows remote vehicle control from anywhere in the world, and offers flexible adjustment of steering angles and steering force — even as a retrofit solution (e.g. logistics yards, ports, etc.). We leverage our own motorsport team as a high-performance development environment — laying the foundation for safe autonomous driving of the future. With cutting-edge workplaces in Aichelau, Munich, Rüsselsheim and Düsseldorf, our own mobility campus including training facilities and a driving safety center, short decision-making paths and high project dynamics, we offer a varied yet focused working environment. You’ll benefit from flexible working hours, modern leadership structures, attractive compensation, and a wide range of in-house benefits — from a fully equipped fitness studio, a personal health budget, SkillCourt training and five® movement therapy to shockwave, ultrasound, electro and laser therapy. Additional perks like in-house physiotherapy and foot care round off our offer.
