Functional Safety Engineer for DbW System (m/f/d)

We are looking for…

What you bring to the table
Do you have a degree in a technical field—whether mechatronics, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or computer science—and at least three years of experience in functional safety, ideally in the automotive sector? Perfect. Your projects have been practical and you know the ins and outs of working with OEMs and Tier 2 suppliers, especially when it comes to safety-related control units such as steering, brakes, or powertrains. FMEA, FMEDA, FTA? These terms are familiar to you – you are proficient in these analyses as well as tools such as Medini Analyze or Polarion. Do you structure your work with a clear head, document in accordance with standards, and get to the heart of complex technical content with precision? Then you already speak our language – ideally not only in German, but also in English.

Your tasks

Do you want to do more than just manage requirements and take on real responsibility for functional safety? Then you've come to the right place.
With us…

  • You coordinate and are responsible for the entire safety lifecycle in accordance with ISO 26262 – from the initial concept to release.
  • You develop safety concepts at the system level, with a view to the interaction of hardware and software.
  • You create and maintain central work products such as FSC, TSC, safety plan, safety case, and verification and validation reports.
  • You perform safety analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA) or moderate them.
  • You coordinate closely with our OEM customers and suppliers to ensure transparency in requirements, interfaces, and evidence.
  • You will check safety verifications and ensure their seamless integration into the overall system.
  • You will take care of the review and approval processes for our safety documentation.
  • You will work daily in exchange with system architecture, software, hardware, and test teams to consistently implement safety goals.
